How we start our trip!
We will pick you up from your preferred location and drive you back at the end of
your tour.
Our suggestion if possible is to start your tour at 07:30 am.
First stop...
The full day Lake Doxa & Kalavryta tour starts with a 45-mile drive along the
National highway to Peloponnese. We reach the well-known Corinthian canal or
Isthmus canal that connects the Saronic Sea and the Corinthian Sea
Second stop...
Leaving the Canal we will continue with an hour drive towards the Lake Doxa. Lake
Doxa, is an artificial lake in western Corinthia, Greece. It is situated at an elevation
of 900 m, in the municipal unit Feneos, near the village Archaia Feneos. Construction
was completed in the late 1990s. It is fed and drained by the small river Doxa, which
empties into the plain of Feneos. In the heart of the lake on a small peninsula features
a small church of Agios Fanourios. The Saint George Monastery in Feneos was
relocated to higher ground, north of the lake. The lake is surrounded by pine forests.

Third stop...
We leave lake Doxa and after approximately an hour and ½ Hours drive. Kalavryta is
a picturesque town and a municipality in the mountainous east-central part of the
regional unit of Achaea, Greece. We will have the opportunity to visit the site of
Execution, the most important monument in Kalavryta. There on 13 December 1943
all men who were more than 14 years old, were killed by Nazi.

Last stop...
After walking in the traditional town, we will continue with a drive towards the Cave lakes. In the village Kastria of Achaia lies the famous “Cave of the Lakes”. It is a rare creation of Nature. Apart from its labyrinth of corridors, its mysterious galleries and
its strange stalactite formations, the “Cave of the Lakes” has something exclusively unique that does not exist in other well-known caves. Inside the cave there is a string of cascading lakes forming three different levels that establish its uniqueness in the world.

After the conclusion of our visit we will drive back to Athens via the National
highway.
The duration of the tour is approximately 10-11 hours.
