How we start our trip!
We will pick you up from your preferred location and drive you back in the end of the
tour.
First stop...
We will start our tour at Mykonos with a drive northern to the historical “Armenistis”
lighthouse.
The lighthouse was built in 1891 and has a height of 19 meters (62 feet).
The mechanism of the original lamp Armenistis worked at the top of the lighthouse until
1983.
Since then it is
exhibited in the
courtyard of the Sea
Maritime Museum,
housed in a traditional
Cycladic building of the
19th century, at the
Mykonos Town, in Tria
Pigadia.
Next stop...
Leaving the lighthouse
we will be directed
southern to the
traditional village of
Ano Mera.
Ano Mera, located almost in the heart of the island, is the picturesque village that one
comes across along the northeast shores of the island. It not only stands out for its
classical Cycladic beauty, but also for its scenic streets and traditional taverns.
In Ano Mera we will visit the historic monastery of Panagia Tourliani, one of the main
attractions of the whole island, built in the 15th century. The all-white monastery is
located right in front of the main square of the village. The whole village of Ano Mera
has been developed mainly around this monastery.
The square is surrounded by traditional cafes and taverns, renowned for their excellent
Mykonian meats done
on the spit and
barbecue. Apart from
the exceptional meat,
Mykonos is also
known for the spicy
cheese accompanying
the local delicacies.
We will also have the
potentiality to visit a
local cheese workshop,
where all the secrets of
preparation of that
spicy cheese are
concealed.
Concluding our visit at Ano Mera, we will head to the abandoned fishing village of
Kalafatis, which nowadays is considered to be the center of water sports of Mykonos.
During the last part of our tour you may enjoy the crystal waters of Mykonos either at
Kalafatis or at Elia beach.
OR...
Alternatively, we may conclude our tour with a visit at the “Chora” of Mykonos. Chora is
a mostly pedestrian maze of narrow streets with cubic whitewashed houses.
It’s essentially a traditional Cycladic village, with bougainvilleas, small white churches, and colorful windows, doors and balconies.

The main street is
Matogianni (or
“Matoyanni”), lined
with boutiques,
restaurants and bars.
Follow your instincts around the maze, and if you get lost, just keep walking and you’ll eventually find your way out to the waterfront.

Your last visit at the
Chora of Mykonos will
be at Little Venice, one
of the most romantic
places in Mykonos. This
neighborhood is replete
with elegant and
gorgeous old houses that
are situated precariously
on the edge of the sea.
At Little Venice you may enjoy your coffee or lunch at one of the cafes by the sea.
